The wide receiver competition is heating up with Tyquan Thornton and Jason Brownlee both making strong cases for roster spots. Both players have been getting significant time with Mahomes and could be battling for one vacant spot on the final roster.
Coach Reid noted the healthy competition between rookies Ashton Gillotte and Josh Simmons: "When they compete, those two are competitive guys... it's all healthy. They're friends, so it works out off the field, but they're both trying to chase a starting spot."
